The Classic Truss Farmhouse Table is one of our original tables that was redesigned from top to bottom. We pulled the thicker-style tabletop design from our Sandown Harvest Table and set it on a totally rebuilt base. The result is a beautiful fusion of clean lines sitting on top of a rugged frame that is reminiscent of an old wooden truss bridge. This style of table is often called a “trestle table” but the style-defining feature is actually closer to a truss which runs between the vertical trestles.
The Classic Truss table is made with reclaimed barnwood that we have gathered from barns in New England. They can range from 50-120 years old or more and have a distinctive style and patina that simply cannot be replicated with new wood. We keep our wood organized and can usually let you know what we know for a story behind the wood chosen for your table.
Like all of our tables, the Classic Truss Table is sturdy and strong and the surface is smooth and easy to clean. These tables are made to order and can be made in any size to meet your seating and space requirements. You can find the most common sizes listed below. We also have a smaller version if you have a small dining area or are only needing to seat 4-6 people that you can check out here.
We make these tables to order, so if you need different dimensions than those listed we're happy to make that happen. If you need help, we can assist you with finding the right fit for your room size, seating requirements and budget. If you already have your dimensions ready, send them to us in a message for a quote!
